I'm Jade Newman and I am the creator of the jewellery here on Earth symbols. This page will give you some background of who I am, what I do and how I do it.
A little about me
I live in a small village in South wales with my family and pets.
My husband bought me my first 3d printer in 2019. At first I was overwhelmed by the creative possibilities. After a few months of tinkering I started creating my own models and designs when I turned to making jewellery.
It was after a few months of trial and error that I started adding epoxy resin to my 3d printed pieces and then Earth Symbols was born.
I use two Anycubic FDM 3d printers, one Mega S and one Mega X. FDM printing is where a roll of PLA (plant based plastic) filament is fed through a nozzle at high temperatures and models are built by depositing layer upon layer of plastic from the bottom up to create a 3D model.
I have created some short time lapse videos of my 3d printers printing some larger pieces that hopefully demonstrate how the printer works.
